The Inside Out Stage at Jacob’s Pillow is far and away my favorite performance space to make photographs.
From night to night you just never know what you are going to get out there. It’s unpredictable. It’s always changing. But regardless of the light, the weather or the crowd, it’s a gorgeous place to perform and to see performance.
Four nights a week througout the festival, you can see dance performance for FREE. There’s a fun picnic vibe as lots of people come early to breathe in the clean Berkshire air and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for kids. Inside Out offers children and families a rare opportunity to get exposed to world class dancers. We bring Gracie every night as we are committed to sharing with her our love of dance and the arts. She can clap and talk and run around at Inside Out, it’s all part of the scene.
The stage is 30 or more years old and in desperate need of reconstruction. The local authorities will not allow the stage to remain unless it is brought up to modern standards. Our beloved Inside Out Stage is in jeopardy.
We have until the end of the Festival to raise $100,000 for the reconstruction. To date we have raised over $90,000. We are almost there!! Will you help us today by donating just $5? Of course we will gladly accept more! But even $5 will make a huge difference as we have almost reached our goal.
