Janaki Rangarajan – Inside Out

The inside Out stage is simply gorgeous. Here’s a shot from yesterday’s performance by Janaki Rangarajan. She was beautiful. She was strong. She seemed as if she belonged right amongst the trees.

In Sunday’s NY Times

It’s always exciting for me to have a photo in the Times. And when it’s a BIG one, even better!

As you know, I’m the Festival Photographer at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA. There a get to photograph artists and dancers from around the world. This summer the Trey McIntyre Project had their debut as a full time company. In addition to being a great choreographer, Trey McIntyre is a super nice person. The whole company was a joy to be around and a great company to end the Pillow summer with.

Below is one of my images of the company at the Pillow this summer.

Ole! Flamenco!

All last week, from my office at Jacob’s Pillow, all I could hear was stomping, stomping, stomping coming from the Pillow school. From breakfast until midnight, nothing but rhythmic stomping and clapping. These students were serious and passionate about Flamenco! They couldn’t get enough.

Once I saw the performance they did on Saturday, I couldn’t get enough either. Fantastic! Ole!
