Narges & Josh

Last Friday Narges and Joshua got married at the Ritz Carlton downtown in Battery Park. There is certainly something extra special about the Ritz. They are attentive to your every desire. And they always deliver with a smile. I love that!!

It was a perfect evening.

The gorgeous floral design was created by Flowers of the World. The bouquets, the ceremony room and the reception were all impeccable!

Congratulations Narges and Joshua! What a fabulous wedding!

Daniela & Thomas

Daniela & Thomas’ wedding was last Sunday in Long Island. Although they actually married two years ago, the day was full of emotion and beauty. Here are a couple of my favorites:

The Last Week of The Pillow

The 76th season of Jacob ’s Pillow is coming to an end. Here are a couple of fun shots from this week:

Shelley and Eric

Shelley and Eric got married at the magnificent Blue Hill at Stone Barns a week ago Sunday. What a fantastic place. Gorgeous buildings and grounds, out of this world food, and 1st class service all around. What a delight.

And of course a first class place deserves a classy couple. Shelley and Eric were so much fun to be around. The care they showed for each other and all of their guests was so generous and thoughtful.

Shelley’s mom read from Walt Whitman’s “Song of the Open Road” at the ceremony. It’s one of my favorite poems and have never heard it read at a wedding before. So beautiful and so perfect to remember as they embark on this Open Road together:

“Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
Henceforth I ask not good-fortune—I myself am good fortune;
Henceforth I whimper no more, postpone no more, need nothing,
Strong and content, I travel the open road.”

Mary & Brian

The forecast showed thunderstorms from mid-day to the evening. Mary and Brian had been planning their wedding at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park for months and I was so excited to photograph it. We all felt like we has witnessed a miracle, because instead, the sun came out and the storm held off until we were completely finished with the ceremony and photos.

Jonathan Hefter of Witness Circle Ceremonies performed a heartfelt and beautiful ceremony at the foot of the steps right next to the Bethesda Fountain. This unique and personal ceremony invited all witnesses to bring a rock to place in a circle creating a threshold for Mary and Brian to step into for their vows.

Julie and Jerry

This past Saturday in Ridgefield, CT, I photographed Julie and Jerry’s wedding. It poured on Saturday morning on my way up there and I was bummed about the weather. Then the sun came out and it turned out to be gorgeous!

Thanks, you guys. Julie and Jerry rock!!
