Three Sisters

How often in a photographer’s career does this happen? Stephanie and Adam posted an ad on Craigslist about two years ago. That’s how they found me. Little did I know that when I photographed Stephanie’s wedding in January of 2007, both her sisters were engaged and were looking for photography.

Last Saturday was the third of the sisters’ weddings: Stephanie, Stacey and Kim. Of course it’s cool to have shot all three weddings. But more importantly, each of these lovely woman have been such a joy to work with. They’ve welcomed me as part of the family. I’m so grateful for that. It’s times like these that it’s tough to call what I do “work”.

Spring 2008 Engagement Photo Day

It’s that time of year again. Last Sunday we had our third semi-annual Free Engagement Photo Day in Central Park.

We had such an amazing response. More couples than ever before came to participate. Several couples drove an hour and more from Connecticut, New Jersey and Long Island just to be a part of it. Word is spreading!

We got lucky and had great weather. The trees in Central Park had just begun to bloom and bud. That Spring feeling was in the air and we all had a great time.

Here’s a sampling of the day. Can’t wait to photograph all your weddings!!

Enjoy and be sure to tell your friends about the next one.

Threshold Visions’ First Video

I’ve been wanting to put a video together for a while. My wife, Nel Shelby, was good enough to film my last free engagement day to get footage of me in action and to lend her editing expertise to create it. It captures the essence of why I love doing wedding photography and will give you a sense of my personality if you haven’t met me yet. I’m so excited to finally be sharing it with all f you!!

Anna & Jose – Engagement

It’s getting warm enough for engagement shoots in the Park. Anna and Jose met me yesterday just before the sun went down so we could make some engagement photos before their May 3rd wedding.

They kept each other warm and indulged me for a while.

Can’t wait til their wedding in a few weeks. By then will be nice and warm and the Park will be lush and green! Looking forward to it.
